Assoc. Prof. Nadya Zlateva was born on February 23, 1971. She graduated at the Veterinary faculty, Trakia University, Stara Zagora in 1996. The same year, after successfully passing the contest, she started working as an assistant professor in the Department of “Surgery” of the Veterinary faculty, Trakia University, Stara Zagora. In 1998, she started working in the Department of “Surgery, Anesthesiology, Radiology, State Veterinary Medicine and Public Health” at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Forestry, Sofia, where she is working to this day. In 1999 she specialized in Lisbon, Portugal. In connection with controlling the population of stray dogs and cats and their care, she conducted a specialization /2004/ in the city of Fethiye, Turkey. In 2015, after a successfully defended dissertation, she received the educational and scientific degree “Doctor of Philosophy” (PhD), and in 2016 she obtained the scientific degree “Associated Professor”. In 2018, she was elected Head of Department “Surgery, Radiology, Obstetrics and Gynecology”, Faculty of “Veterinary Medicine” at Forestry University. Currently, Assoc. Prof. Zlateva is the Vice-chairman of the Association of Veterinary Surgeons in Bulgaria. Her professional and scientific interests are in the field of animal surgery for a company, anesthesiology and emergency medicine, imaging diagnostics, cardiology.
Panayot Panayotov, DVM was born on 15.03.1971. He graduated in the Faculty of veterinary medicine at the Trakia University, Stara Zagora in 1996. From 1996 until 2001, he worked as a district veterinary doctor. From 2001 to 2005, he worked as a resident at the University Clinic for Small Animals, FVM, LTU, Sofia. Since 2005, he has been the official doctor of the German Castration Center of Tierhilfe Süden. From 2012 to the present, Dr. Panayotov is the manager of the (Committee for the Rescue of Stray Animals CCRSA) south branch of the same castration center. P. Panayotov, DVM has been the chief physician and manager of the “St. George” veterinary clinic since its foundation in 2004 until now. His professional interests are in the field of internal medicine, dermatology, imaging, dentistry, diseases of birds and exotic animals.
Georgi was born on 26.11.1992. From 2011 to 2016 he was an intern at the clinic, and in 2017 he graduated with honors and an award from the Rector of the University of Forestry, Sofia. In the same year, after winning a contest, he started working as an assistant professor in the Department of “Surgery, Radiology, Obstetrics and Gynecology” at the Forestry University, currently holding the position of “chief assistant professor”. In 2021, he successfully presented a dissertation for the award of an educational and scientific degree “Doctor of Phylosophy” (PhD), scientific specialty “Surgery, Radiology and Physiotherapy of Animals”. Co-founder, together with Evgeni Evtimov, DVM, of the unique VPF Bulgaria (Veterinary Parasitological Forum), which has been held annually since 2019. Author of “Mini Parasitological Almanac” and “Almanac of the anti-parasitic products”, which are issued for 3 years in a row by VPF Bulgaria. Co-owner of Veterinary Clinic “St. George” – Sofia and co-founder and co-owner of Veterinary Clinic “St. George” Drama, Greece (Ιατρειο μικρων ζωων «Αγιος Γεώργιος»). His interests are in soft tissue surgery, regenerative medicine, radiology, anesthesiology, and rabbit pathology.
Dr. Borisov was born on February 16, 1989. From 2010 to 2014, he was an intern at the Saint George Veterinary Clinic. In 2014, he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at UoF and is still part of the clinic’s team. Professional interests are in the fields of surgery and internal medicine.
Dr. Rafailov was born on February 7, 1990 in the town of Lovech. In 2015, he graduated from UoF, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. From April 2015 to July of the same year, he worked on a pig farm in the village of Lesidren, region Lovech, as a veterinarian responsible for prevention and treatment. From July 2015 until now, he has been working as a veterinarian at the “St. George” clinic. In 2016, he started working as an assistant at the University of Forestry, Department of Infectious Pathology, Hygiene, Technology and Food Control of Animal Origin. His interests are related to parasitology.
A. Vutova was born on 18.12.1994 in the city of Sofia. Interned at St. George Clinic since 2016, graduating in 2019 from University of Forestry, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. Her interests are related to internal medicine and parasitology.
Blagovesta was born on March 25, 1994 in Sofia. From 2018 until 2022, she has been interning at the clinic and currently she is a clinical assistant. Her professional interests are related to infectious diseases and internal medicine.
Ivan was born on 28.01.2001 in the city of Sofia. He graduated 164 “Miguel de Cervantes”, profile biology and chemistry. In 2020 he was admitted to the University of Forestry, veterinary medicine, and during his years of study he actively participated in the annually holden Veterinary Parasitology Forum. He has interest in the field of gastroenterology and infectious diseases.
Anna was born on 07.01.2001. in the town of Haskovo. She completed her secondary education at PMG “Acad. Boyan Petkanchin” profile – biology with English. She has interests related to obstetrics and imaging diagnostics.
Silvi was born on February 9, 2001 in the city of Pleven. In 2020, she was admitted to the University of Forestry, majoring in veterinary medicine. Her professional interests are in the field of infectious diseases and diseases of exotic animals.
Georgi was born on 18.07.2001 in the city of Ihtiman. In 2020 he was admitted to the University of Forestry, majoring in veterinary medicine. He has an interest in the field of soft tissue surgery and imaging.
